Undergrounding
Down with power poles! How Entrust is helping bury them forever.
What Entrust is doing to help
As the majority owner of Vector, we have an agreement that commits the company to spend at least $12.5 million dollars every year on undergrounding and new technology projects in the Entrust district.
So far, over 135 undergrounding projects have been completed, and power lines have disappeared from 108km of streets in neighbourhoods all over Auckland, Manukau and northern Papakura.
For a full list of completed projects, plus details of what the projects cover, when they were finished and how many people they benefit, click here to go to the projects page on the Vector Electricity website.
DREOR stands for Deed Recording Essential Operating Requirements.
A fantastic response was received when Entrust and Vector got together with a Future of Energy competition. The prize was use of a solar system featuring a Tesla Energy Powerwall battery, and 130 nominees in the competition were chosen as winners. Entrust is proud to support this initiative which helps deserving groups and individuals save more money on their power bills.
