Are you ready? Final weeks to update details for 2026 Entrust dividend

Time is running out for eligible Aucklanders to make sure their payment preference details are up to date for this year’s Entrust dividend, with less than three weeks left to update details online or return forms.

More than 372,000 power account holders across central, east and south Auckland will be eligible for this year’s annual payment when it is paid in late September.

Since 1994, Entrust has paid out more than $2.5 billion to households and businesses across the District through its majority ownership of listed energy company Vector.

Entrust Chair Denise Lee is urging people to act now if they need to update their payment details.

“If your details are correct you don’t need to do anything. But if you want to update your payment method or bank account details, or if those sections are blank, now is the time to do it. We need updated details by 5:00pm on Friday, 07 August,” says Ms Lee.

Eligible Aucklanders can choose to receive their dividend as a direct credit to their bank account or as a credit to their power account. Customers on prepay power can only receive their dividend via direct credit.

“The fastest and easiest way to update is through our secure web page. It only takes a few minutes,” says Ms Lee.

To be eligible for the 2026 dividend, you must be a power account holder connected to Vector’s electricity network within the Entrust District as of the roll date later this year.

“We know this dividend is something many people look forward to each year, so we are encouraging anyone who needs to update their details to take a few minutes now to avoid delays in September,” says Ms Lee.
